Black Label Society will be bringing their ‘Unblackened‘ set across the US in April. That show features intimate versions of the bands popular songs as well as frontman/guitarist Zakk Wylde delivering material from his solo album “Book Of Shadows” and his Pride & Glory project. The initial “Unblackened” set took place in Los Angeles, CA and was released as a live CD/DVD of the same name. Wylde said of the plans to revisit it:
“I always wanted to take Unblackened on the road, we just didn’t have the time until now. You can take a song that you’ve played thousands of times and rearrange it, and all of a sudden it’s something totally fresh. The attitude of the songs doesn’t change when we play them acoustically–the tunes are gritty regardless.”
Scott “Wino” Weinrich Wino will be opening the shows.
