The sick saga of ex-Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins continues as an ex-girlfriend of his, Joanne Mjadzelics (aka Joanna Majic,) has appeared before the court on charges of possession of child pornography. The 39-year-old mother of one was originally charged early last year with four counts of possession of an indecent image of a child (level 4), two counts of distributing an indecent image of a child (level 1) and one count of encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence of distributing an indecent image of a child.
Mjadzelics is currently facing trial for the charges and claims to have kept the images in question in a bid to bring Watkins to justice. Mjadzelics also spoke out against Watkins in the midst of his conviction.
A 2008 sex tape featuring Mjadzelics and Watkins has been entered as evidence in the trial as well as a 2011 online conversation. Mjadzelics blames her behavior on her cocaine abuse and love, stating: “I cannot deny that it’s me but I cannot remember it and I am just disgusted.” “I was a coke head at the time.” “I was totally in love with the guy and I was saying things to… make him excited.”
Tabloid Daily Mail offer up more apparent details from the ongoing trial, stating the aforementioned online chat log had Mjadzelics sign off with the phrase “Child molesters till we die.”
They also make mention of a transcript of the sex tape during which the couple talked about getting pregnant in order to to have a child to abuse. The trial is ongoing with Mjadzelics denying the charges. Watkins himself continues to serve out his 35-year prison sentence.
