The Collective—a management, etc. firm whose clients included Godsmack, Slash, Staind and more—have shuttered their music management division following the exit of their biggest client, Linkin Park, from their roster. Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda said of the decision to leave:
“We’ve decided to bring our management duties inhouse, to directly hire talent to support the innovative ideas the band plans to pursue in the coming years”
Despite the closure, there will apparently be no layoffs associated with the decision. Instead The Collective will now focus on its Collective Digital Studio division. More on that can be found over at Variety.
