Helmet recently dropped off of their “Betty” 20th anniversary European tour for a short time in order for frontman/guitarist Page Hamilton to attend to the passing of his father. Hamilton has since opened up on that, offering:
“Dear Helmet faithful,
I’d like to start by thanking you all for showing up and making the european “Betty” tour one of the best tours we’ve ever been part of. Unfortunately we had to temporarily suspend the tour the day before our Helsinki show as I received news from my brother & sister that my father passed away Friday September 26th. We’ve decided to reschedule the missed shows for early November.
