Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach resumes his series of behind the scenes footage with the latest look at their trip to Ecuador. In a posting over at Jesseleach.com, he also relayed of the clip:

“This is footage the KSE crew and I shot while in Quito Ecuador. I had such a great time exploring and taking in the culture. Unfortunately some of my best footage was deleted because I hit the wrong button while nervously fumbling around on my camera. While I was watching a crew of police beat some street vendor down…I had the whole thing on film then they turned towards me and I stopped filming and somehow deleted some amazing footage of that incident and footage of me walking around the city. However, what I do have is pretty amazing and I wanted to share with all of you.

A few quick fun facts:

-I experienced altitude sickness for the first time on this tour as Quito is 9,350 feet (2,800 meters above sea level)! The local promoter was kind enough to acquire some coca leaves (the plant has been used for thousands of years in the mountains of South America for altitude sickness) and it really did the trick. You put the leaves in the side of your mouth for 25-30 minutes and it really helped me get through a few shows. It tastes like Green tea or Yerba Mate and the effects are about the same.

-On our final day there we were able to experience a minor 6.4 earthquake at the airport (my first earthquake experience). The quake also caused a major dust storm stranding us in the Quito airport for about 5 hours (we thought it was a volcanic eruption for about a half hour as it looked like it from where we were standing). Thankfully it wasn’t a “big deal” as the locals stated they get minor earthquakes all the time. I will still never forget that day, glad we got out of Ecuador Ok.

So with out further words from me check out the most recent “KSE behind the scenes” Hope you enjoy it!
