Fear Factory To Begin Recording New Album In October, Sign With Nuclear Blast Entertainment

Guitarist Dino Cazares has revealed that Fear Factory have signed with Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The group are currently in pre-production for that outing and will begin tracking it next month with frequent cohort Rhys Fulber taking on the production duties. Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Killswitch Engage) will mix the outing, which will be released in 2015.

Cazares recently revealed the news to SiriusXM‘s ‘Liquid Metal‘, and said of the albums sound:

“Well, each one of our records are so different from each other–you know, it still sounds like Fear Factory, there’s still the killer guitar picking, the killer drum beats, Burt’s beautiful vocals on the top of it, you know, that’s all still very much intact, but you always have to try and experiment and push your music to different places, you know what I mean? From Soul of a New Machine to Demanufacture is a big jump, and Demanufacture is obviously so different. I would have to say this record would land somewhere between Demanufacture and Obsolete.”

He added:

“Somewhere in the middle. No techno, none of that stuff, it’s just pure. Some of the songs are just heavy and groovy, and then you’ve got some of the blistering, fucking cold, mechanical riffs like Demanufacture.”

The Divine Heresy situation was also addressed by Cazares, who confirmed that Divine Heresy is still ongoing and vocalist Travis Neal is still involved. He also confirmed that Tommy Vext and Tim Yeung are not involved in the project. He said of the confusion surrounding the band:

“I mean, all that stuff is pretty comical–I believe it was just some media who just thought something else and they were misled into believing something else. That had nothing to do with me.”

“This has nothing to do with me by the way, just so you know that. The only reason I’m even mentioning this stuff is because the media likes to throw my name in there, because they’re being misled into believing something else.”
