Holy Grail guitarist Eli Santana has checked in with the below update on the bands next album:
“In the pursuit of accumulating enough material to make a great album, we had a problem on our hands. With over fifty song ideas and hundreds of riffs to choose from, we faced the daunting task of narrowing down these ideas to around seventeen songs. We are proud to say that we have achieved this small victory. We have a good portion of the seventeen tunes fleshed out with vocal melodies, guitar leads, drum fills, and bass lines; some even have lyrics.
We really let Luna’s voice lead the way on which songs we will be trying to put on the album. In doing so, it feels like we are sitting on an album that will be very gratifying to the fans of our first EP ‘Improper BurialTyler and Blake) will shine on this record.
As long as we don’t “…and Justice For All” Blake in the mix, I think our forthcoming record will treat the metal world to the lost art of bass lines. I sent a text to a buddy joking about our new material, “It’s kind of like if Cannibal Corpse wrote Arena Rock.” After I hit send I realized it wasn’t that far off.”
As reported earlier, the band will play two shows with Children Of Bodom in October.
