Former Misery Signals vocalist Jesse Zaraska has published his first novel, “Old Ghosts“. It was digitally released today, July 11th. Additional short stories are also available for free should you be interested in sampling. More details on those and where you can purchase the book are available at The official product description for “Old Ghosts” reads as follows:

“Liam Baker awakes to find that the love of his life has been kidnapped in the night. Alone and desperate, he travels across desolate and threatening lands, tracking his love and the man who stole her away.

Old Ghosts is set in the western prairies around the turn of the century. Two brothers grow up living a hard life after the murder of their mother. When a horse robbery goes wrong, one sibling embarks on a path of change and redemption, while the other descends further. An encounter with the young Lily Donnelly further divides the brothers, binding the trio to dangerous quests, and setting in motion a tragic tale of personal morality and family loyalty.

This collection also contains three of Jesse’s short stories.”

Zaraska will temporarily be back at the helm of the original lineup of the band next month as part of their “Malice X Tour“. That trek will celebrate the tenth anniversary of their “Of Malice And The Magnum Heart” album.
