Geoff Rickly (Thursday/United Nations, Etc.) Launches Collect Records

Geoff Rickly of Thursday/United Nations, etc. fame and friends have launched a new label dubbed Collect Records. Among the its roster are Black Clouds, Vanishing Life (Quicksand, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead) and Sick Feeling, who will co-release an effort through the label with Terrible Records.

A radio announcement regarding a new signing will be made this coming Monday, June 30th, on the ‘BBC Radio 1 Rock Show‘. According to a press release, it will “mark a new era for both this artist and label alike.” Initial speculation of course points to this project that allegedly features Rickly and ex-members of Lostprophets.

Rickly meanwhile said of the label venture:

“The chance to empower other musicians to follow their dreams has been totally revitalizing for me. Most of the people here at Collect have played in bands, toured, and worked tirelessly because they love music past any reasonable point. So if the mission of Collect is to give great records a supportive home, then we all know what that means. And it means a lot to us.”
