Demon Hunter frontman Ryan Clark was interviewed by DigitalArts regarding his design work for the water reactive cover art to The Atlas Moth‘s new album “The Old Believer“. Clark of course co-founded the Invisible Creature design studio with his brother Don, formerly of Demon Hunter himself. If you’ve yet to see the cover art mentioned above, take a look here.
According to the actual process the enables the transformation, Clark offered:
“The way I understand it, a thin, semi-transparent sheet of paper is adhered to an additional piece of water-resistant stock. Like any paper, when covered in water, the transparency is increased. In this case, revealing the image printed on the stock beneath. The paper adhered to the water-resistant stock eventually dries, allowing for multiple uses.”
