Doctor Of Late Slipknot Bassist Paul Gray Acquitted On Involuntary Manslaughter Charges

Daniel Baldi, the doctor who was facing involuntary manslaughter charges for the deaths of numerous patients—including late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray—has been acquitted on all seven counts. A report on the Des Moines Register has word that after two days of deliberation, the jury agreed with the defense that none of the patients involved died specifically from drugs prescribed directly from Baldi.

Despite his initial win, Baldi is still facing several other malpractice lawsuits and administrative charges from the Iowa Board of Medicine. Previously Paul Gray‘s widow, Brenna, delivered testimony for the prosecution in the case, which alleged that Baldi had recklessly prescribed addictive drugs to patients with known histories of drug abuse.
