Rightfully imprisoned former Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins is seeking leave to appeal the length of his prison sentence, having filed an application with the Court of Appeal earlier this week.
Watkins seeks to lessen the 29 years with six years on license (essentially a 35 year prison term) he faces for the various child sex-related crimes he was convicted of this past December.

Watkins is currently serving out his sentence at HM Prison Parc in Bridgend, UK. As court documents showed, the nature of his crimes were especially heinous. He and two unidentified women were all convicted of various child sex related crimes during the proceedings.
