Prior to being sentenced to 35 years in prison for child sex crimes, ex-Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins was shown to have made a handful of phone calls to unidentified female fans. One such call was where Watkins made his now infamous ‘megalolz’ comment
UK tabloid Daily Star (yes, tabloid so you know…) claim to have gotten their hands on one of the phone calls he made just prior to being sentenced. Once again speaking to an unidentified female, they quote Watkins as having told her:
“Whatever happens to me I’ll go down in history as a rock god to my fans. I’d rather die and take my chance in hell than spend the rest of my life in prison. I’ll live on for my fans through my music.”
“I know I will be a marked man and that scares the shit out of me. I will have to watch my back for the rest of my life. I know because of what people think of me that they will all cheer if I get cut or attacked. People will want me dead now. If someone does get me inside they’ll become a star just like me.”
Meanwhile a report over at walesonline.co.uk, has a conversation with a past female acquaintance of Watkins; who provided the publication with various logs of their internet chats which showed Watkins hinting at his sickening pedophile desires. She claims to have turned over the same materials to the South Wales Police upon Watkins‘s and his two female cohorts December 2012 arrest.
