As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis‘ legal woes appear to be worse than expected. Lambgoat have dug up a civil suit that was filed on August 02nd, 2013 by Lambesis‘ estranged wife, Meggan Lambesis. Meggan is seeking around $2 million USD for emotional distress, medical expenses, punitive damages and attorney’s fees.
Meggan of course filed for divorce from Tim months prior to his May 2013 arrest for allegedly attempting to hire a hitman to murder her. Tim is currently out on bail facing a charge of solicitation of another to commit murder as a result of that. Those charges stem from Tim allegedly trying to hire an undercover detective posing as a hitman to murder Meggan this past Spring.
Tim is next expected in court for a readiness conference on January 15th. His trial on the solicitation charges will likely start in the spring while the civil suit is expected to proceed in court in April.
