As I Lay Dying, etc. frontman Tim Lambesis was back in court today, September 16th. He was present at San Diego Superior Court in Vista, CA for a preliminary hearing that was held in regards to his ongoing murder-for-hire case.
The hearing was held to establish whether or not there was enough evidence for his case to go to trial. A number of witnesses gave testimony today—including the undercover detective who Lambesis allegedly attempted to hire to murder his wife.
The judge was satisfied with the evidence presented against Lambesis, who is now bound over for trial. A video report from today’s proceedings can be found below courtesy of CBS8.com. Lambesis is scheduled for arraignment on October 22nd, when the date of his trial will be set.
Lambesis is alleged to have attempted to hire an undercover detective posing as a hitman earlier this year to murder his wife Meggan Lambesis—who had previously filed for divorce from him. Lambesis faces a solicitation of another to commit murder charge as a result of the foiled attempt.
Lambesis is currently out on bail on the charges.
