The bill for today’s (August 03rd) ‘Alliance Festival‘ at Heritage Park in McDonald, PA saw a number of bands drop off as a result of financial issues. Numerous bands from the fest have posted messages on their social media accounts regarding their decision to ultimately not play the festival in the past few days, some of those can be found below:

Norma Jean:

“We are really sorry to announce that because of circumstances beyond our control, we will not be at Alliance Fest in McDonald, PA tomorrow. We apologize to anyone that wanted to see us. We will be back there as soon as possible.”

Conditions:

“ATTN: We are sorry to announce that we will not be a part of Alliance Fest today in McDonald, PA. It sounded like a wonderful time with wonderful bands and wonderful people, but with an absence of a contract, you cannot put on a festival professionally. Our apologies to anyone who planned on seeing us, and we look forward to making it up to you through a realistic promoter”

Love And Death:

“Due to lack of funds needed, we’ll not be performing at Alliance Festival in McDonald, PA today. Sorry y’all. Completely out of our hands.”

The Devil Wears Prada:

“We regret to announce that, due to the promoter’s failure to meet contractual obligations, we have been forced to cancel our appearance at the Alliance Music Festival this Saturday, August 3rd, in Macdonald, PA. TDWP has not cancelled a show in years and years, so we ask for fans’ forgiveness and understanding in why we are unable to play with the given circumstances.”

Still Remains:

“To all of our fans hoping to see us at Alliance Festival on Saturday:
We just received word of a very serious family emergency. Out of respect for one of our members and their family, we have to sit this one out.
Please forgive our absence. We will try to make it to PA as soon as we are able.
I ask that you please respect our decision and know that we don’t make decisions like this lightly. We just ask that you could send us your prayers and positive thoughts to help us see us through this very unfortunate situation.
Thanks and God Bless.
T.j.-“

Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster:

“We will not be playing Alliance festival due to the same issues all the other bands have had. We did everything in our power to make it happen, but it is out of our hands. We are very sorry.”

Demon Hunter have been moved up to the headlining spot of the festival in light of all the cancellations and said of their coming performance:

“Rumors, drama & bands dropping off, BUT WE WILL BE THERE. We are still coming because of our fans. That’s it.”

The festivals organizers themselves offered the following two statements throughout the last week:

“Sorry for the wait everyone. Unfortunately we have hit some obstacles here in the upcoming days to the festival that we were not expecting. We had our production for the 3rd stage drop out unexpectedly, and with no time to find a replacement, we had to drop a number of bands to be able to fit everyone on 2 stages. Also, due to problems that we won’t go into, we had to cancel with The Devil Wears Prada. This was the last thing we wanted to do, especially knowing how much this area love the band, but unfortunately we were left with no choice. We also had to drop a number of other bands, and a few had to pull out for their own reasons. Some of the dropped bands as of now consist of Grave Robber, Defending Cain, Onward To Olympas, Life On Repeat, and Jamie’s Elsewhere. Demon Hunter will be the headliner now for Alliance. We are still working out the lineup and will try to get it out to everyone before the festival, but with these setbacks, we have to redo the schedule. We appreciate all of you who support us and thank you for being patient. This festival has definitely had it’s first year bumps, but we are still pushing to put on a great festival in the name of God.”

“Sorry we have been absent from the page, we have been setting up stages and production for tomorrow. We just want to make sure you all know the festival is happening, believe it or not, and Demon Hunter will be the headliner. Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, MyChildren MyBride, Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster, Inhale Exhale and plenty more. We will post the schedule in a little with the recent changes. We also want to address a couple things as well. I have been informed of a rumor that AngeLight is somehow getting blamed for the festival’s troubles. AngeLight is just performing and promoting the crap out of the event. They have nothing at all to do with anything that has happened. The troubles with this event are a result of mis-communication and the lack of fine details that weren’t released until last minute. Despite the problems, we are working hard to put on a great event tomorrow and you won’t be disappointed. Just remember the purpose for this event, and know that your attendance is helping a child be cured”
