Soulfly Enlist Producer Terry Date For New Album

Soulfly have plans to head into the studio in the near future (if not already) to begin recording their new full-length album with producer Terry Date (Pantera, Deftones). Band lynchpin Max Cavalera recently informed that the band would be in the studio as soon as their most recent tour finished.

Cavalera also went onto say that due to his busy schedule, he won’t have time for any new official Cavalera Conspiracy output this year. But while there may not be a new studio album, him and his brother Igor Cavalera (also known as Iggor) are tentatively approaching the idea of a dubstep/reggae/EDM remix album of Cavalera Conspiracy‘s previously released material.

Furthermore, additional studio sessions for his still-unnamed project with The Dillinger Escape Plan‘s Greg Puciato, Mastodon‘s Troy Sanders and ex-The Mars Volta Dave Elitch are also on deck, as is his upcoming autobiography, “A Boy From Brazil“. Apparently Cavalera described the songs in progress from the aforementioned supergroup as “melodic”.
