Queens Of The Stone Age performed a new song titled “My God Is The Sun” at the ‘Lollapalooza‘ festival held in Brazil yesterday, March 30th. Professionally-filmed footage of the track has since emerged online and can be seen below.

The concert saw the group perform with ex-The Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore behind the kit, seemingly confirming rampant speculation that he has scored the gig as the bands new drummer. Theodore also contributes some drumming to the bands new album “…Like Clockwork” as well.

That outing is set for a release in June on Matador Records and will feature numerous cameos, including: Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, ex-Nirvana) handling the studio drumming on the bulk of the songs; Elton John, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails, etc.); frequent collaborator Mark Lanegan (ex-Screaming Trees); ex-Queens Of The Stone Age bassist/vocalist Nick Oliveri, Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys, James Lavelle of UNKLE and Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters.
