Queens Of The Stone Age Tap Josh Freese’s Father For New Album

Another guest has been revealed for the Queens Of The Stone Age‘s forthcoming new studio album. Tuba soloist (and Walt Disney Company music honcho) Stan Freese has once again been tapped by the group. He previously played on their album “Lullabies To Paralyze“. In case you are wondering, Stan is indeed the father of ex-A Perfect Circle, etc. drummer Josh Freese. A photo of him in the studio with the band last night can be found here.

The roster of guests for the new Queens Of The Stone Age album thus far already boasts studio drumming from Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, ex-Nirvana) on all tracks. Other cameos include Elton John, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails, etc.), frequent collaborator Mark Lanegan (ex-Screaming Trees), ex-Queens Of The Stone Age bassist/vocalist Nick Oliveri and Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters.
