Death's Manager Responds To 'Orion Music + More' Confusion, 'Death To All Tour' To Return This Year

Eric Greif, the manager for death metal legends Death, has taken to the internet to dispel the confusion regarding the booking of Death at the coming ‘Orion Music + More‘ festival in Detroit, MI. According to Greif:

“I’ve heard from a dozen sources that DEATH is listed as playing Metallica‘s Orion Fest. This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I think maybe someone booked in that 70s black protopunk band of 60-something-year-olds called Death (who are originally from Detroit) that we allow to co-exist (since there is no eartly way they could ever be mistaken for our DEATH). Both bands own US trademarks on aspects of the name…so there has been no conflict. But this is DUMB with a capital D. Please write to complain about the confusion. THANKS. ERIC GREIF

Meanwhile, the previously ill-fated ‘Death To All Tour‘ is set to make a return later this year. Two dates for the planned five city trek have been revealed thus far and include:

04/15 Englewood, CO – Gothic Theatre
04/18 Detroit, MI – Saint Andrew’s Hall

This years edition of the tour will once again benefit the Sweet Relief charity and find both special guests and musicians from the groups past lineups unite to perform material from the bands catalogue.
