Black Tusk have begun recording a new EP which will see a release this spring on Relapse Records. Band drummer James May said of the outing:
“This new release is a mean one. It reminds me of a new twist on an old days Black Tusk sound. We got back together with Jay and Phillip Cope [of Kylesa] to turn this out with some of that earlier, brutal sound you might have heard back in the beginning albums. We figured it was about time to see what the old gang could do years later.”
Furthermore, the group have also booked the following series of headlining dates to lead them into their nearing tour with Today is The Day, KEN mode and Fight Amp, amongst others. Those headlining stops include:
03/01 Spartanburg, SC – Ground Zero
03/02 Chesapeake, VA – Roger’s Sports Pub (feat. Iron Reagan)
03/03 Harrisonburg, VA – Blue Nile
03/04 Frederick, MD – Café 611
03/05 Reading, PA – Reverb
