Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor kept it short and sweet with his thoughts on the Grammy Awards‘ constant sidelining of the metal/hard rock genre. Speaking via his Twitter tonight, he stated:
“I’m happy for Halestorm, but sad because the Grammys don’t respect our genre AT ALL. We get one category and it’s not even televised.”
As Taylor hinted at, Halestorm took home this years ‘Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance’ Grammy Award for their song, “Love Bites (So Do I)“. As is generally the case however, the award was presented in a pre-telecast ceremony. Taylor himself has previously been awarded a Grammy with Slipknot and had various nominations with Stone Sour.
