Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Talks About His Failed Attempt At Collaborating With Justin Bieber

Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor isn’t one to hate on Justin Bieber. Speaking in a fan q&a in the latest issue of “Revolver“, he was asked what his favorite Justin Bieber track was following this fan-made mashup video for Slipknot‘s Psychosocial” and Justin Beiber‘s “Baby“. He replied:

“I’m gonna be a whore and say it’s the “Psychosocial Baby” mashup. I know Justin wasn’t responsible for it, but I just thought it was so cool. Everybody thought I’d be pissed about it, but I was blown away. Like, who the fuck thought this would be a good idea? But I give him respect. He’s a very talented kid and he goes above and beyond for his fans.

Perfect example: I was in Baltimore on my book tour and Justin was nearby in Washington, DC. I tried to get him down to my reading because I wanted to try and do an acoustic version of “Psychosocial Baby” together. But he was actually visiting children’s hospitals. And you can’t say anything bad about a guy who’s visiting children’s hospitals, you know? If you do, you’re a fucking asshole!”

Taylor has since taken to his Facebook to comment on the fan outcry from the failed pairing, offering:

“It’s entertaining reading the comments about me and the Biebs. I think everyone needs to calm down- it’ll never happen haha -HoGaBcontinues”
