Obey The Brave (ex-Despised Icon, etc.) have signed with Epitaph Records for the U.S. and Distort Entertainment for Canada. The band will release their new album “Young Blood” through the respective labels on August 28th. According to band vocalist Alex Erian (formerly of Despised Icon):
“I remember listening to my Pennywise and Rancid cassettes back in high school and daydreaming endlessly about being in a band and touring the world. If someone would have told me back then that I’d sign one day with the label that started it all, I would have never believed it. It feels unreal but my boys in OTB and I are definitely up to the challenge. We’re extremely honored to now be part of the Epitaph family and are looking forward to many years of pure fucking destruction together!”
He continued:
“Distort is known for its quality artists and killer track record here in Canada, but at the end of the day, what really caught our attention was how much the people behind the label genuinely care about their artists. We couldn’t ask for a better label to represent us in our homeland. We’re so excited to join the Distort family!”
