Queens Of The Stone Age, Velvet Revolver, Scars On Broadway, Etc. Members Form Animated Band PusherJones


Members of Queens Of The Stone Age, Velvet Revolver, Weezer and Scars On Broadway have teamed up for a new animated band dubbed “PusherJones. The group have joined forces with “The Simpsons” creative director Dave Warren to flesh out their animated persona and feature the following lineup:

Vocals – Frankie Perez (Scars On Broadway/Camp Freddy)
Guitars – Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver)
Bass – Scott Shriner (Weezer)
Drums – Joey Castillo (Queens Of The Stone Age)

The groups first single “Count Me Out” will appear on the upcoming “Avengers” soundtrack and can also be streamed over at A five song EP is expected to follow sometime later.

According to Kushner, the group are shopping the pilot episode of the project around with hopes of it becoming an animated TV series. Kushner elaborated further on the concept to Rolling Stone, offering:

“A lot of it has been based on different stuff that has happened to me or stuff I’ve heard being in Velvet Revolver for eight years. It’s basically about a big, notorious rock band, and there’s a new guy that’s coming into the band.

You’re basically seeing all of the dysfunction and insanity, and the things that make for great rock bands through the eyes of the new guy.”
