Metallica Debut Previously Unreleased Track “Hate Train” At First ’30th Anniversary Show’, Audio Available

Metallica‘s weeklong series of 30th anniversary shows kicked off at the Fillmore in San Francisco, CA yesterday, December 05th. In addition to debuting a previously-unreleased “Death Magnetic” b-side by the name of “Hate Train“; the performance also saw the band joined by ex-bassist Jason Newsted and members and alumni of Apocalyptica, Metal Church (John Marshall), Saxon (Biff Byford) and Diamond Head (Brian Tatler & Sean Harris) and more.

A tribute was also made to Ray Burton (the father of late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton) who was in attendance at the show. Metallica have since emailed their fanclub members a rough demo version of the aforementioned b-side “Hate Train“, which you can check out below:
