Former Isis drummer Aaron Harris is forging ahead with new projects and his production career. Speaking on his new project with Jeff Boyle of Jakob in a recent update, he offered the following:
“I got another demo from Jeff Boyle (Jakob) for the project he and I are working on. When I get a message from Jeff saying he’s sent me something to listen too, I feel like a kid on Christmas day and I can’t get through the presents fast enough!
This particular track is very cool; a style of playing that I’ve never heard from Jeff. To say that I love it would be an understatement. Jeff also sent along new Jakob demos — and it’s some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard. Their music does something to me that’s hard to explain. It’s the sound of everything right.”
Meanwhile, work will also resume on his project with ex-Isis bandmates Jeff Caxide and Bryant Clifford Meyer. On that front he had the following to say:
“Speaking of drums, I haven’t been playing all that much lately which bums me out a bit. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break though. Cliff, Jeff, and I will probably start playing again now that Cliff is back from Red Sparowes tour. The break is nice, and I know when I get back behind a kit I’ll be recharged, and inspired.”
