DevilDriver bassist Jon Miller has checked in with the following update regarding the bands touring plans and their next album:

“Hi, everyone. This is Miller. I am back in ….Santa Barbara…. after returning home a week early from the end of DevilDriver‘s 2010 European summer tour. I want to thank our guitar tech, Dave Burke and tour manager, Bubble for saving the day at the last minute and playing bass for me.

Unfortunately, I had pressing medical issue that needed immediate attention. I am feeling much better now and am beyond stoked to be a part of this year’s Ozzfest. We are doing a ….U.S….. run with Kittie, Kataklysm and Hostility immediately after the Ozzfest dates and am looking forward to finishing up the Pray For Villains touring cycle so that DD can start focusing on starting 2011 with our 5th, and i must say, burliest record to date.

This is the album that I have been waiting to show DD fans what we do best. It is not a nice sounding record. It is not happy or friendly. It’s dark. It’s wicked. It’s pissed. Its also getting mixed right now and hopefully DD fans will get to hear
a new track by the early fall. More to come on the new record soon.

I hope everyone is enjoying the DevilDriver documentary. It has been a long time in the making. We will keep you updated on more DD news and I look forward to seeing all the fans when we hit the road next month!!!!!”
