Throwdown announced yesterday that they were headed to the studio to record a Pantera cover for an upcoming Pantera tribute effort. The band had the following to say regarding the cover:
“Recording for a Pantera tribute tonight. And here I thought all our records were Pantera tributes already!”
The tribute in question is thought to be the same one Machine Head (“Fucking Hostile“), Chimaira (“Slaughtered“) and more are highly rumored to be appearing on.
The effort is being put together by an as-yet unannounced UK based metal magazine for a release sometime next year. In the meantime, Throwdown‘s new album “Deathless” will arrive in stores this Tuesday, November 10th, through E1 Music.
