With at least 25 musicians having been involved with Cleveland, OH-based alternative metal band Mushroomhead over the years, there’s been no shortage of projects to emerge via former participants. In a recent trend however, collectives of those ex-members of that masked outfit have been reuniting for tribute shows of their own.
Recently, six past members of that storied band joined forces as The Ex-Faces and announced four shows for this April. As it turns out, since being announced, that collective has newly grown to 7 members with bassist Jack “Pig Benis” Kilcoyne signing on. The latter performed with Mushroomhead from 1995 through to 2012. In some relevant lore, he actually replaced his brother, Joe “Mr. Murdernickel” Kilcoyne, on bass in that group. That lore is relevant, as it now means those siblings will now be splitting the bass duties during these upcoming shows.
