Faith No More had New York Rangers defenseman Dan Boyle serve as a roadie for a week during their August East Coast U.S. touring. Boyle cites the group as his favorite band and roadied for their Washington, Philadephia, Boston and NYC shows. He told nypost.com of the experience:
“As silly as it sounds, it was an amazing experience. [Being a roadie is] a thankless job, but an important job. It’s not that different from what [the Rangers’] trainers do for us!”
In case you’re wondering how he got the gig, Boyle had perviously struck up a friendship with Faith No More frontman Mike Patton eight years prior.
