A Perfect Circle To Release Greatest Hits Set “Three Sixty” With ‘New’ Song

A Perfect Circle are preparing a greatest hits collection titled “Three Sixty” for a November 19th release on Universal Music Enterprises. Along with various tracks from throughout the bands back catalog the set will boast their first studio recording in over a decade in the form of “By And Down“—a song which they have played live on numerous occasions.

Vocalist Maynard James Keenan said of the coming set:

Billy and I created A Perfect Circle out of a now long-running friendship, and I think the music we have made reflects that personal connection and has given us the ability to further develop and trust our intuition. I feel Three Sixty is an accurate representation of that friendship and those instincts.”

The set will be released in both standard and deluxe editions with the track listings posted below. A Perfect Circle of course are also set to issue a new live DVD/3-CD set titled “A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone And Echo” on November 26th as well.

In a time of Spotify and iTunes, greatest hits collections are more useless than ever. This is one of the things I can still commend bands like Metallica and Tool for they never released these greatest hits collections. (Say what you will about their recent output, but how many greatest hits have Korn or Megadeth released now?)

Then this…I just can’t fathom releasing a greatest hits album when you’ve only released two studio albums and a covers album.

As a side note, every song on eMotive was inferior to it’s original. Not even close…

      Hey guys,
Devin Townsend will release 3 albums in 2014. He does not plan to release a best of 2014 or a overpriced boxset of him playing them live.
