I gave their new album an honest try. I listened to it all the way though, and mannnnn… It was hard to get through it. This band sucks donkey dick. Why this band has been getting popular, I’ll never know. It’s one of those things that I can’t quite put into words for you. You’ll see, just listen to them a little more.

The other bands on the Cleveland date would be cool to check out. I might have to make that short little trip.

I’m not real big on Ghost, but I would give them a chance live for sure. I don’t dislike them, I just don’t see why so many people think they are so good. I would be at that Cleveland show in a heart beat though!!! I’m still kinda pissed Baroness and Royal Thunder are ignoring the south east(their home) on this tour!!!

Ghost’s sound is nothing “new” yet absolutely fresh. They blatantly rip off Blue Oyster Cult except, unlike BOC, they can put together solid albums beginning to end. That’s a great thing. There’s not a single band out there right now doing what Ghost is doing and that’s a big refresher in the rock world. I haven’t seen them live yet but gonna do my best to make that Cleveland date.

I never gave this band a listen and have 2 friends who are big fans. Well I went to Rock on the Range and checked them out. They weren’t bad. I went through the autograph booth and got my friends a vinyl signed for each of them. Talking to all the guys in the band they were all really nice and cool to talk to. But anyways on the 8 hour drive home before someone rear-ended me and destroyed my car I listened to their 2nd CD. And after 3-4 songs I was like this is Blue Oyster Cult! Glad I’m not the only one.

Damn, guess I must be one of them hipsters then. I think this band is pretty fucking awesome myself. Both records could be categorized as great. Not sure where all the general disdain is coming from, maybe you don’t like the “gimmicky” theme, maybe you don’t like the music(probably deaf in that event). No sweat, this band is going to achieve incredible things every step of the way. Saw them in Minneapolis, shit was amazing.
