For Today’s Van And Trailer Stolen In San Antonio, Texas, Band To Continue Touring

For Today had both their van and trailer stolen in San Antonio, Texas yesterday, February 09th. Despite the huge setback, the band don’t plan to miss any dates of their ongoing “Fight The Silence Tour“. The following two messages were posted by the band on their Facebook earlier today regarding their immediate plans:

“Some nerd stole our van and trailer (and a couple hundred-thousand dollars of equipment) from our hotel parking lot last night. So now we’re rolling to Houston in rental cars. They can steal our stuff, but they can’t touch our joy! Jesus Reigns! (Unshakeable). Get pumped.”

“Our van and trailer were stolen in San Antonio. We are currently split up in two rental cars heading to Houston. We will NOT be missing any shows. Thank you to everyone involved with the tour from the fans, bands, crew, staff, sponsors and anyone behind the scenes. See you soon! – FT”

      • There is NO way in hell these dudes were rolling around with a couple hundred thousand dollars, much less a single hundred thousand, worth of gear, merch, etc. Get the fuck outta here.

Also, what a stupid thing to say, “Jesus reigns”? Let me guess, these dudes probably think this is all part of Jesus’ plan to make them stronger? Idiots.

I think If I were in a touring band, I would just buy boots to put on a couple tires on the van, and trailer. Lame band or not, it happens too damn often.

I really enjoyed For Today’s latest album. Fortunately, the majority of the lyrics don’t make you feel the same way these two messages made me feel, so it’s easy to look past. It’s almost a bit condescending, the way he says “Jesus Reigns.” I support people being positive and optimistic, but don’t wag Jesus’ cock in everyone’s face. Not everyone is a Christian, and not everyone is a homo. As for having a few hundred thousand in equipment, it may be very possible for these guys. I’ve seen some videos of these guys with a good amount of their equipment; They do have some really nice, ‘godly equipment.’ Sad to say that the religion card plays very well for bands when it comes to sponsors and endorsements, even donations. Especially, when we all saw where their now past guitarist stands. I question whether they are who they claim, but I still like a lot of the new album. The musicians need to shut up and play. They are losing fans and gaining the wrong ones. Let the music speak.

A couple hundred grand worth of equipment? Like hell. So I guess the traveling Boy’s Choir that they tour with sleeps in the trailer…? I thought they slept with the band.

Sorry fuckers, but Jesus doesn’t return stolen merchandise. It must be that whoever stole it is a product of Satan.
