For The Fallen Dreams Vocalist Dylan Richter Exits The Band

Vocalist Dylan Richter has announced his departure from For The Fallen Dreams. He released the following statement regarding his decision:

“To whom this may concern,

I would first like to start off by saying that the past four and a half years as a member of this band have been the best years of my life. I have met a lot of great people, and I’ve made a lot of great friends. The places I’ve seen along the way, I would have never imagined ever visiting in my whole entire life. This experience would have never been made possible without the members of this group, our fans, friends, families, management, booking agents, and our record labels. Thanks to the endless support of Mike Hocking, Ryan Nelson and everyone at Merch Connection, Craig Ericson of Rise Records, Mike Milford of Artery Recordings, Ash Avildsen, Shawn Keith and The Pantheon Agency, Tom Denney at Diamond Studios, Joey Sturgis at The Foundation Studios, and Fritz Richter.

There comes a point in everyone’s life where they need to make a change. At this point in my life, I need to stay at home with my family and focus on my priorities. I am so grateful that I have been able to affect so many lives through my music and lyrics. Just because I’m parting ways with For the Fallen Dreams does not mean that I am done with music, by any means.

Once again, thank you to everyone that has been there for us since day one. I hope that in one way or another, everyone who this concerns will eventually be able to understand my discontent, and reasons for change.

Good luck to him. But I didn’t care for the vocals on the last two albums, I always listened for the band. Hope they can get someone to compliment.

FTFD’s first two albums were pretty solid, but the last two were garbage. It’s like they transformed into a completely different band, which I guess they did since they’ve been through about 20 lineup changes. I just don’t get why bands like this think it’s okay to be extremely heavy and then have little girl poppy choruses. Especially this band, because they weren’t like that from the start. The worst part is there is no easy transition into these awful parts, they just go right into them. It’s such a frustrating listen, and so over-produced. The music feels like plastic. If anyone likes their original vocalist and their first album, check out a band called ‘Legend.’ The album ‘The Pale Horse’ is beast.
