Audio Samples Of New Phil Anselmo & Warbeast Split Available
Audio samples of Phil Anselmo‘s (Down, ex-Pantera, etc.) new solo material can now be heard via Amazon.com. The songs (“Conflict” and “Family, “Friends”, And Associates“) were recorded by Anselmo and his backing band, The Illegals—who consist of members and alumni of Warbeast, Superjoint Ritual, etc.
The tracks will see a release on January 08th as part of his “War Of The Gargantuas” split with Warbeast. They serve as a precursor to Anselmo‘s highly-anticipated solo album which is expected to finally see a release later this year.

Holy shit, can’t wait.

Phils solo shit is gonna be as close as we ever get to some new Pantera unless Vinnie Paul needs some money. Because he sure as hell isn’t in it for the fans anymore. Hell yeah? Supergroup? that band blows.
Wook, I know you get hassled constantly on “Why do you report news on Otep or Limp Bizkit? They’re terrible.” The answer lies right here. Phil Anselmo releases what sounds like his best/angriest music since Great Southern Trendkill, and all anyone can talk about is the audio sewage of Otep.
