Currently the band are in the studio tracking the opus with producer Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die).

Well this is a weird crossing of paths… should be interesting to see what the mouthbreathers of the internet have to say about this.

  • scorpions

    Ash avildsen = wanker

  • Borc

Lets just hope the only label mate they tour with is Bizzy Bone

    • Relentless_Beating

Dead Letter Circus and Stray from the Path would be fine with me.

      • cma3585

Dead Letter Circus are on Sumerian? Mind = blown.

    • booze

Maybe I See Stars will guest on the new album.

    • They Ate Their Macaroons in Silence

Bizzy, DLC, DEP = bomb pussy.
Speaking of DLC makes me wonder when Karnivool’s gonna throw some more amazing tracks together and release ‘em.

  • kturl69

    Sumerian? Sumerian!? SUMERIAN!? FUCKING SUMERIAN!?

  • WorsnopLoverXEX

The tsunami of butthurtness is approaching

  • Aggroculture

I really wish DEP would take a chance and work with another producer, not Steve Evetts all the time. He’s OK, but his productions sound a little flat to me. I would like DEP to step out of their comfort zone for once, and go somewhere different with their sound.

  • THERileyBrewer

I dig this move for all parties involved.

  • BlueBalls

The owner of Sumerian is kind of a douche and I don’t care for plenty of bands on the label, but as long as they give DEP adequate support and don’t interfere much in the writing process, I don’t really give a fuck.

  • TheMediaProphet

I’m not sure why Ash gets so much hate. The Sumerian bands seem to love the label and Reflux was a badass band. I wish they had released more albums. Ash sounded brutal when I saw them live.

What’s the big deal, people? Enough with the drama. They signed to a new label, get over it. (Let the thumbs down ensue, pussies)

    • kturl69

Bro, don’t let all the thumbs down get to u. You’re like the Hollywood Hulk Hogan of theprp. That’s a fucking accomplishment sir. Cheers mate.

    • southpawchew

Just tool um. U can take that finger (thumb) and stick it up your ass! Really don’t see the big deal, it must make sense to d.e.p. they seem to go for the heart of the matter and the matter must be good! ($)

i am a little worried. fingers crossed.

    • MARIACHI EL willX related news, sumerian records just got the respect it craves with the stroke of a pen.

  • xasafx

echos the sentiments I felt about acacia strain joining rise. Sumerian has money to finance active bands and should prove to be a worthy ally.

  • Fred Fred Burger (Darkdevout)

I don’t know what the big deal is, the bands seem to love the label and Sumerian looks like they give their bands a lot of support, I thought it was nice of Sumerian to give support to I see stars when they had to play free gigs cuz of that douche Radke.

  • Surly

I don’t really like the reputation of this label or the owner, but I’m sure DEP know what they’re doing. Maybe Ash offered them all Range Rovers?
