Stray From The Path Post Cover Of Rage Against The Machine’s “Vietnow”
Stray From The Path have posted a new cover of Rage Against The Machine‘s “Vietnow” below. Another cover from the band will arrive next week, though it will be of an as-yet unannounced artist. On that they offered:
“Glad you guys are enjoying the RATM cover. We still have another one coming next week! And it rules! next cover is not by RATM. its a band that is not the same style at all. RATM is my favorite band, but the next cover we did is my favorite.”

This sounds no less funky than RATM’s version while sounding no less hardcore than anything SFTP could release. I kind of like the heavier approach to this song and the voice fits the style for the most part. I dig it!
I only checked these guys out after I read that they’re about to go on tour with ETID. I had a listen to their Rising Sun record…and wow. Punch-in-the-face-good! Bought the thing. Nice work on the RATM cover too. Emmure need to listen to these guys to know how to do it right.
Not that they would ever do it right, mind you.
this sux AND blows!

It’s one of the better attempts at a cover I’ve heard in a while, I’ll give it that. It just doesn’t have a that groove and vibe the original had. It I was to hear this song as a Stray From The Path original, I would say it sucked. The fact it’s a Rage song gives it just enough to be a listenable tune.
This sucks so bad. And they are even using Rage’s Evil Empire artwork for this shit sandwich? Disgraceful
not a bad cover at all although the singer sounds like he has a turd sticking out that he can’t quite manage to thrust no matter how hard he screams.
