Darkest Hour Officially Part Ways With Drummer Ryan Parrish

Darkest Hour have officially parted ways with drummer Ryan Parrish. The band announced his departure and subsequent fill-in via their Facebook tonight, December 22nd, with the following statement:

“Yes it is true, Darkest Hour has parted ways with drummer Ryan Parrish. We wish him well (you will seem him rocking in many projects no doubt please check them out, they will all rip!)

For now his duties have been filled by drummer Timothy Java (Dead to Fall). Tim did an amazing job on our recent European tour with Machine Head.

As for the future that’s open for discussion – no permanent decisions have been made in any way.

The only thing that makes this OK is who is replacing him, Tim can rip it up just as well in my book. Now if only Jon Hunt would get on a new project……

Total bummer. I really dig his style. Worked really well with them. I really respect minimalist metal drummers. He wasn’t a show off, but always played what made the music as a whole sound better.
