Tool’s Early 2012 Tour Expands With Five New Dates
While Tool themselves have yet to address their upcoming tour, dates for the trek continue to surface. Five more stops have been revealed for the tour, which will now run as follows:

01/15 Las Vegas, NV – Mandalay Bay Events Center
01/17 Tucson, AZ – Tucson Arena
01/18 Albuquerque, NM – Tingley Coliseum
01/20 Grand Prairie, TX – Verizon Theatre
01/24 Toledo, OH – Huntington Center
01/25 Toronto, ON – Air Canada Centre
01/26 London, ON – John Labatt Centre
01/28 Boston, MA – TD Garden
01/29 Camden, NJ – Susquehanna Bank Center
01/31 Uncasville, CT – Mohegan Sun Arena
02/08 Duluth, GA – Gwinnett Arena

What’s the damn set list….I bet it’s wackness!
If they’re playing the same set that they have for the last few years I don’t know if I will bother…
Play one new song or Undertow in its entirety (how brooding that would be) and I’ll drive to Reno for it.
Wow, so Tool is finally going to play at Mohegan Sun? Whoa… that’s crazy. I’ll be there though. It’s been a few years since I got my Tool fix live, and they let people smoke the good stuff in there so… yeah… it’s time to get totally bent for this one.
Do they still use the hexagram lighting rig above the crowd? That thing totally blew me away during the Lateralus tour. I also was at one of the very few shows where they busted out Ticks & Leeches, that was thrilling. Despite their recent troubles with creating diversity in their set list, I don’t think any other band comes close to matching the level of detail these guys put into their live performance. The only other that comes to mind is NIN, who on second thought are likely in the same class. Makes me yearn for a co-headlining tour. Maybe when they get all old and stuff.
