Chimaira Vocalist To Miss San Antonio, TX Show After Alleged Drug Arrest (Updated)

Rumors have been swirling that Chimaira vocalist Mark Hunter missed the bands show in San Antonio, TX tonight (October 27th,) reportedly as a result of being arrested. Hunter was apparently picked up on drug possession (marijuana) charges while on tour.

Thegauntlet.com have word from the venue that Hunter won’t be appearing at the show. Meanwhile, he has apparently been booked and released and will rejoin the tour shortly. Band keyboardist Sean Zatorsky will once handle the vocal duties in his absence.

Furthermore, band bassist Emil Werstler commented on the show via his Twitter, saying:

“The show is still going on tonight, everyone. Ya’ll metal folks are like a bunch of cheerleaders with your knowledge of info.”

Update – October 28th 4:14am:

Hunter has since taken to his Twitter with the following tweets on the situation:

“Out of the clink. Didn’t drop the soap.”

“I deeply apologize to the fans of San Antonio. I was detained at the same spot they got Willie. You know I will make it up to you.”

      You’d think the Texas police would have more important things to do than bust a white guy for some pot. Y’know, like arresting a black guy for talking to a white woman or deporting a Mexican or something.

      Hey Mark, don’t do stupid shit! You could have played a great show that night but instead opted for a 30minute high instead of a 2 hour metal show. Nice job. Well done. Pot is overrated especially when you are supposed to be a professional (career) man.
