Late Guitarist Jeff Hanneman Won't Be Physically Present On Slayer's New Album

Unfortunately, it appears that late Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman will only be present in spirit (and writing contributions) on the bands new album. Last month frontman/bassist Tom Araya told Revolver that one song would feature playing from Hanneman. In a new chat with Loudwire, King shot down the rumors, saying it was “bullshit.”

The song itself is called “Piano Wire” and was recorded during the “World Painted Blood” cycle. While written mostly by Hanneman, it actually features playing by King. See more on that in the below video interview:

Slayer‘s next release will be a 7″ for their new song “When The Stillness Comes“, which will land on April 18th for ‘Record Store Day‘. A new album should from the group is also in the works for later this year.
