With the recording sessions for their new album underway at Maple Studios in Orange County, CA with producer Cameron Webb (Pennywise, Sum 41), Betrayal have announced the addition of a new vocalist. Brendan Foley has exited the band due to a medical condition involving his vocal cords. Taking his place is Gage Armstrong, who commented of his addition:
“I think the lyrical content comes from me looking into my past and truly just being upset and angry. When we were putting together this album I was going through a lot of personal issues with my family and just life in general, so writing really helped me release and come to terms with all the hatred and angst that I had built up inside of me. It helped put things into perspective that my life is ok, and I’m going to be ok.”
A spring release on Mediaskare is being eyed for the as-yet untitled effort.
