All That Remains vocalist Phil Labonte has offered an update on the bands progress with their new album. Sessions for that outing have now been completed with producer Josh Wilbur (Lamb Of God, Gojira) at the helm. Here’s what Labonte had to say:

“Sittin at a bar at San Diego international airport. Gonna fly home in a lil bit. Our part of the record is done. Nothing more to track. Tones are all picked out and decided on. Solos and over dubs and leads and backing vocals and vocals all done. So in a weird way it’s almost as if we’re done being creative for like 2 years. Now it’s all just doing everything we can to get in front of as many people as we can.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Josh Wilbur. He and his wife are some of the most down to earth and warm people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Josh helped us in new and unexpected ways to do what we always try to do when we put out a record, and that’s release something that challenges what ALL THAT REMAINS<M/b> is and can do. He’s a great song writer and producer, Everyone in ATR was very happy working with Josh.

Our long time friend Jim Fogarty was running engineering duties again, and as usual he was awesome to work with and his input was incredibly helpful. He’s been a friend and recorded projects I’ve worked in since I was 17. Over 20 fucking years. I’ve learned a lot from him and I’m glad he keeps putting up with us. So now I leave my beautiful wife in sunny and oppressive California to head back to the hills and mountains of New England. New Hampshire, I’m coming to be in you.”
