Primus, etc. drummer Tim Alexander is officially on the mend following his heart attack and ensuing triple bypass surgery a month ago. Alexander—who intends to rejoin the band on the road this fall—will temporarily be replaced by Tool‘s Danny Carey at the bands shows next month. As Alexander said through the following photos via Instagram:
“5 weeks ago I had the heart attack. 4 weeks ago, triple bypass open heart surgery. Started physical therapy today. Hooked up to the EKG on the tread mill. Thank you deeply for the support from everyone to get me here today. Especially to my wife Shama.”
“Drove myself today to physical therapy. Not easy but doable. Feels good to be closer to normal. Thank you all for your support jn this!”
