Periphery drummer Matt Halpern has signed on to record the drums for the new album from reunited outfit, Bleed The Dream. Halpern will take over the kit from late drummer Scott Gottlieb, who died from leukemia back in 2005. The band said of his addition:
“We have a really special surprise for fans. We are going to record a new album in tribute to Scott and have a special replacement planned to take his seat. We tried our best to find someone who played similar to Scott, as well as someone that’s playing was what Scott would have enjoyed. This album will be the darkest, most passionate, and heaviest to date, with a fall release and tours to follow.”
Periphery have been in a sharing mood this year as they also recently lent their singer Spencer Sotelo to From First To Last.
