Former Failure touring guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (currently in Queens Of The Stone Age) will be involved with the groups new studio album. Alternativenation.net recently asked Ken Andrews of the resurrected outfit of Troy‘s potential involvement with the effort and got the following reply:
“Yeah! He actually already has on a couple of the songs, which is actually kind of inverse of Fantastic Planet ’cause he didn’t join the band until that record was already done for the year and we were getting ready to go out and tour on it.
And we were kind of like, you know what, it would be great if we had another guitar player to help us flesh out the live sound. And so we found Troy and that’s how that came about. But now this time his schedule being in “Queens” was pretty tough to deal with in terms of having him play with us live.
But It’s actually easier to get him in on the record. But who knows? We may be able to pull him in for some live stuff as well. I’m not sure yet.”
