A fan reportedly passed away as a result of injuries suffered during a stage dive gone wrong at Miss May I‘s show at the Webster Hall in New York City, NY last night, May 03rd.
Initial rumors have the individual being identified as a 21 year old male named Dagoberto “Berto” Ramos—these reports have yet to be officially verified however. The show was also said to have been cut short as a result of the tragic accident.
Miss May I for their part of released the following statement:
“Hey everyone, we are aware of the incident that occurred at Webster Hall last night and will be posting a statement shortly. However, we are awaiting further information regarding the situation before we are able to make a full statement.”
Update – May 04th 7:04pm:
The man in question is now being identified by friends as Alberto Scott. A crowdfunding campaign has been setup here by an apparent family friend in order to help cover the costs of his funeral expenses.

Brooklynvegan.com have gotten word from the Webster Hall on the incident. The venue is quoted as telling the site:
“The patron in question did not die while stage diving. The patron collapsed while exiting the venue, as video footage and the police corroborate.”
