Both Periphery frontman Spencer Sotelo and guitarist Misha Mansoor have taken to social media to clear up any confusion regarding yesterday’s announcement that Sotelo would be joining From First To Last for their new album. Sotelo said today of his new gig:
“Yes, I am still in periphery and I’m not going anywhere. FFTL is my side project that I’m doing to have fun with some of my friends.”
Mansoor meanwhile responded to a fan asking bout Sotelo‘s status with the following:
“Spencer is joining as a studio member only and Periphery is to remain his priority in all capacities. He might perform at a show/shows if they happen not to coincide in any way with our schedule.
Even if Periphery gets an offer that is accepted after FFTL has shows booked, Spencer will prioritize Periphery and play the shows with us. For this reason, it will never work against us, so I am not worried.”
Current plans have Periphery releasing a new album early next year.
