Wayne Static, Otep, Dope, Smile Empty Soul and Thira will be touring together in May under the banner of ‘The Civil Unrest Tour‘. The schedule for the West Coast US based trek is available below. As Static notes below, his band will be performing Static-X‘s “Wisconsin Death Trip” in full at all of the shows:
“It’s going to be a blast, I love all the bands. I’ve toured with all of them before and I’m looking forward to seeing them all again. Also looking forward to hitting the west coast again because it has been way too long. This little run is right in the middle of our Wisconsin Death Trip Tour so we will still be performing all of Wisconsin Death Trip at all of these shows.”
Dope frontman Edsel Dope also spoke of the trek and bands coming album “Blood Money”
“Really excited to take a short break from working on the new Dope album, “Blood Money“, to play some shows with my old buddy Wayne Static. I just moved out to LA for a while to write some additional songs and continue putting the finishing touches on “Blood Money“, so when we started discussing these dates, the timing & logistics couldn’t have been better.
The last time Dope played a lot of these markets was while on tour with Black Label Society, just after the release of our previous album, “No Regrets“, which was close to 5 years ago. So it will be great to reconnect with the fans on the West side of the US after being away for so long… I’m very much looking forward to getting dirty!!!!!”
